My thought is that these fit your face better. See how you can't see the ear pieces. The second pair seems to narrow...unless you're seeking that look. I wasn't, and spent years not noticing that the width of my face was broader than my glasses. Just some input. Hope it's welcomed.

The other frame is lighter on your face. If you prefer that look, can you may want to compare a frame that is lighter, yet a bit wider to fill out your face.

thanks for your comments, I noticed the same thing after some lengthy considerations! My current glasses don't fit the width of my face either, and the arms are always pushing against the sides of my head.
